Nature

I love the nature and I'm privileged to be living in a rural environment, just a few steps away from the woods, mountains, rivers...

If I would have to choose my favorite style in photography, it would definately be nature macro photography.
So this is one of million posts regarding nature topic to come...

My favorite model

First day we've brought him home he caught a bumblebee and his little paw was as big as his torso was at that time.  He looked so helpless but proud at the same time. I named him Tiger :)
 His adventures were only beginning...

From that time on, if he's not in the mood, he can care less for annoying bees, flys and other insects, but when he's in his instinctive behaviour, no one is safe :)

He's my favorite model with a million of faces and feelings:

so loving

badass

totaly annoyed

so sleepy

being sarcastic

catalogue poses

beauty shots

playing different roles (here playing to be a  SFINGA)

close ups

courious

As I said, he's my favorite versatile model, so there will be a post about him in the future :)

cacti and succulents

The only place where flowers, plants or any sort of greenery grows or survives with me, is on the pictures :)

even the most durable one - cacti and succulents

Inspiring home of two teachers in Klagenfurt, fans of cacti :)

Eventhough greenery and plants in pots are not my thing, I love macro photography. Pictures bellow were taken in a private collection of cacti in Salzburg. Don't know the names or species, but love the details :)

Bad hair day

Poetry

I'm probably the least romantic person on earth, believing only in reality, so this are not supposed to be romantic pictures (but i get this kind of reaction to this and the following pics all the time :))

in this one...just loving the shades of orange...

The keyword for this collection was actually "poetry"
this is my view...

Bled

In this last days of summer, if I even may call this days summer days (the temperatures were like 10° C and less), I spend really great days, exploring Slovenia. First day we went to Ć kocjan caves, but they didn't let us take pictures in the cave, so...
The next day we went to Bled. This lake with an island in the middle which you can visit with a small wooden boat. Yeah, it sounds romantinc ha? The true picture: to survive you must constantlly avoid feathered killing machines - the swans and ducks!!!
Attention: they just look sweet!!!
But nevertheless, we had a great great time! Thanks to all of you :)

HDR Attempt

I say: To learn, you have to try or see everything you can about the topic you're studying, to get the clear image in the end. Even if you don't like certain steps or lessons! This will give you the width and knowledge you need to succeed. In photography I don't really like digitaly adjusted images that don't really express what you saw through your lens at the time. If you learn how to draw with light, no computer programms are needed. But of course, this is just my understanding of photography.
I didn't quite liked the idea of making a series of identically-positioned but with different exposure settings imeages, but why not :)
(not my best work - but great learning proces and the best models:))

Strunjan saltpans

Old meeting with new

There are times when I just need to get away from all the chaos. At that point I usually go to places that really inspire me and where I can just free my mind and soul. Saltpans are THE place, esspecially Strunjan saltpans. Take a look and see what I mean...
